better late than never

but i took a few shots of pierrot after i had sprayed parts of her and started to sand some…. sadly the heat and humidity has been KILLER the last few days so i’m not able to really work on her… which has led me into new trouble….. but more on that later.

just a few shots playing around with her – she wears about a 6/7 wig and if all goes well, she’ll take about 12mm eyes (i haven’t finished beveling out her eyes yet)

but as i can only work on little bits of her because i need to do a lot of outside work such as dremeling and spraying her, but am unable due to the wonderful weather – i’ve had a bit of free time…. and i’ve been working on kirin as well, but…. well….

for a long time i’ve wanted to try my hand at sculpting what i think is a “beautiful boy/man” concept. but i didn’t want some one who was feminine exactly… i wanted him to look like a guy… and after a recent plunge i discovered the final missing piece to my beautiful boy sculpt.

i’ve used three people to come up with my concept sketch, and i really wouldn’t have thought about mashing their three faces together if i hadn’t been bored one day and watched some of their movies all in one go.

i haven’t figured out what to call him yet, but here is the concept sketch. i’ve started on the head as well, but sadly my picture taking skills suck right now.

can you guess who’s in there? can you? would you like a hint (or three? )

here is my compilation file used to develop my sketch

i've been drawing for as long as i could hold a pencil and art became my first language. though i've only been sculpting since 2007, i fell in love with the idea of being able to bring my drawings to life. i am heavily inspired by medieval macabre artwork, japanese yokai, and oddly enough, sherlock holmes. currently i'm living just south of beautiful portland oregon ^^
