she stands!

November 20th, 2010 by _d2_

while waiting for more supplies from my beloved mother, i’ve been working more on my little kitty girl (she really needs a name! )

but with the help of silicone ear plugs i’ve gotten her to stand!

and i had her other hand and foot sculpted, but… my dear cat sat on them when they were still wet, so i’ve got to rework them.

her eyes are the micro eyes from volks ( http://volksusa.com/ )

and man, she is developing some attitude!

rising from the dead…

or rather, from finding a job and having time to do stuff….but now i have both and i’ve started working on my dolls again! starting – of course – with my little girl…. she’s got cat ears now! nothing like my drawing.i’ve been looking at the possibility of doing one of a kind sculpts and some how covering them with brush on resin of some sort to give an outward appearance like cast bjds – that way i could do her face up multiple times – but don’t have to fight with molding and casting… but on the other hand, i’m lazy and would rather have a body that i can cast multiple times and sculpt new heads and parts for…. oh what to do, what to do?anyway, here is my little kitten girl – she wears i think 6mm eyes… i’m not sure because the smallest eyes i have are 8mm, and they’re too big….kitten girl!kitten girl!kitten girl!kitten girl!kitten girl!kitten girl!kitten girl!

about

i've been drawing for as long as i could hold a pencil and art became my first language. though i've only been sculpting since 2007, i fell in love with the idea of being able to bring my drawings to life. i am heavily inspired by medieval macabre artwork, japanese yokai, and oddly enough, sherlock holmes. currently i'm living just south of beautiful portland oregon ^^
