yes, it’s true, i’m back to sculpting ^^
i am working on my boy cooper (yay, he has a name!) and xolotl - who will have even more doggie goodness with her new (to be sculpted) doggie legs and paws!
my plan is to finish cooper by end of october, and to finish xolotl by end of december.
i need to kick myself to do at least 2 or 3 hours of sculpting a week and that should get me to the end of my goal ^^
cooper’s to do list :
smooth hands
finish face (needs new nose and to be smoothed out)
feet
left arm
smooth joints(legs/arms)
xolotl’s to do list :
new hands
new arms
smooth lower torso
new lower legs
paws
finish face
head cap
ears
and then of course is the molding and casting processes of those…. but if i have a list, i feel compelled to do everything on it so i can cross it off (thank you OCD!)
look forward to some new pics of xolotl and cooper next weekend ![]()
long time no sculpt -

yeah, i know.it’s been a very very VERY long time since i’ve written anything.i was taking a break to deal with life and other things and have been slowly getting back into sculpting.i am allergic to the resin it seems - so i have to put my 46cm girls on hold (pierrot, beatrix, and xolotl).instead i’ve been working on my tiny - who went from a girl to a boy, so i guess he’s no longer going to have the name imogen ^^;;;; (i’m thinking victor or thomas for him now…. maybe something else…)he’s also turned more into a pouty cat boy - but the arms and legs are giving me problems so it’s going kinda slow.without further ado - here are some new pics - nothing too different from the last time i posted pics of my tiny other than the head and it now being a boy… oh, and the one leg is now more refined.

here are some pics of xolotl as well as the new knee (well, front and back… since she doesn’t have ankles i can’t pose her very well and the poses i did get, the camera refused to shoot….

*sigh* i’ve come to a hard decision…. school is just taking more energy out of me than i thought and i’m only able to put work on my dolls on the weekends so i’ve decided to focus all my energy on bringing xolotl to fulfillment since she is supposed to be a gift for my mother… maybe in the summer when i have no school i can pick up beatrix, pierrot, and imogen, but right now… i seem to only be interested in my dog headed girl — of course, this means i need to figure out ears for xolotl (while she looked good with the elf ears, i really wanted her to have dog ears and now i just need to figure out how big and what shape to do them… ideally i’d love to do ears like a pharaoh hound but i think those would be too fragile in the resin….)good news is, though, that i’ve gotten her body mostly molded (just have to remold the legs because of her new knees) so if i get that done this weekend i can concentrate on casting her next week.. (i also hope that i can sell at least one cast of her so i can pay back my mom for all the materials she’s bought during our “learning” sessions on molding and casting ^^;;;;; )tomorrow i hope to have converted her faceplate to the headcap system and then i can get a picture of her on the resin cast torso/arms i have (though the arms didn’t come out very well and i still haven’t cleaned up the hands ><;;;; )anyway - just thought i’d put up a little update…
more pics!

got some pics of the body’s posing ability - i’ve also got xolotl’s head about 90-95% done. though i will be modding the faceplates into head/head cap systems because the faceplate system just isn’t working as well as i was hoping….

some attempts at casting…

i am being so bad about keeping this thing updated…
i’ve worked some more on imogen (mostly her legs) but she probably won’t be done for awhile (maybe end of may at the earliest)
however, the good news is that i am pushing forward with molding pierrot (and beatrix’s head plate) and if i’m lucky, i’ll have them all done by friday so i can do my first full resin cast of her saturday! it’s so exciting! after i have her body cast i’m going to try making one of my sketches - http://4oni.com/angelsdream/dollsketch7.jpg - and then work my way down and if some of them are successful (like a white version of the gothic rabbit from alice in wonderland) then i’ll offer them up for sale. (on top of doing small batches of the basic plates for sale each month)
eep - i butchered her ;)

pierrot got some new leg joints (and i’m in the process of working on her arm joints) while i take a break from molding (because it seems i’m allergic to the molding compound ^^;;;;; )her posing in a lot better now (yay!) and i think the line of the joint is still elegant -

tro-chan’s also been working on her own doll (sweetpea) using my faceplate system as a base for her head and had me take pictures today - while doing so i decided to take a picture of her head with all of mine -

but i’ve got some time off from school so i hope to get pierrot finished modded and at least 75% molded as i hope to get a cast of her by the end of the first week of april.
some new pics and news -

i have some pics of the heads i’m working on -
pierrot 2.0 -

beatrix - (i may use this face plate for my 36cm boy as well because it is almost exactly what i wanted for him)

and xolotl - my dog head i’m doing for my mom (she loves chinese crested dogs but doesn’t think she could ever have one) - i used my dog toby (a chihuahua/corgi/terrier mix) as the base model

i also hope to soon have a full cast of pierrot if the molding gods are kind to me! (i have a week off from school coming up - yay! *^^* )
